My responsibilities were to select the right solution and partner able to bring a secured, innovative and adapted solution for the Bank and the country. Provide the business analysis for the development requested for the local market (foreign exchange, ATM Interface, AML, biometry, etc ...). Coordinate the implementation, training, marketing and logistic. Create a call centre. Present the solution to the banking authority and large organizations. Setup the eco-system and launch the application into the market.

Challenge
Define and mitigate risks. Negotiate with the telecom operators as the solution was considered as a competition. Work with poor telecom infrastructure, low resources and experience. Train local and end users.

Success
The solution was multi-operator compared to the proprietary telecom solution opening the entire mass market and partnership with large organizations. More young and punchy communication.

I joined the company for my IT, PM and Development competencies providing a clear solution roadmap. To avoid investments and decrease the analysis time, I suggested to develop myself the website and iOS application using Agile and X-Trem methodologies.

Challenge
Learn xCode for iOS and the sencha framework in a short time to deliver a professional source code and application.

Success
Consistent and reliable website and iOS application developed in short time. Stable and fast synchronization interface with the iOS application. Delivered a product ready for the market.

Scope
My employer was looking to improve their organization and documentation ( processes, workflows, etc ... ).

Knowledge was not well shared. KPI's and monitoring were non-existent.

Due to the new market regulation, the company needed a banking licence. These ISO certifications were a step to saw their credibility and aims to use the best practices.

Challenge
Shortlist a services company that may help us to achieved this huge work in a short period.

Handle a double ISO certification within 6 months.

Involve, chase and motivate all employees, at all level to achieve the tasks and certification.

Success
All processes have been created, reviewed from a QA point of view and stored into a centralised system.

All roles and job description have been documented. An internal audit and QA department have been created and trained. KPI's ( risks and performances ) have been created and monitored. The project and certifications have been delivered within time and budget. Huge profits ( cash, time, errors, ... ).

Scope
My employer was consolidating and managing their forex positions on their trading platform. The client registry and commission processes were not fully automated. The trading platform was not able to handle all legal reporting, as well as all AML pre and post checks and reports.

The aims of the project was to implement a new core solution able to consolidate 25'000 daily transactions in real-time. Manage all legal and financial ( replacement values ) processes and reporting, as well as the client, groups and commissions structure.

The new platform needed to be able, in a near future, to handle more than one trading platform in real or near-time. Allow to implement new instruments such as CFD's, securities, options and futures.

Challenge
The challenge was to define the RFP and study the available core banking system in a short time. Implement the solution within 6 months including the migration of all clients ( 15'000 ) and open transactions.

APSYS has been choosen between 5 other platforms.

Success
We have been the first company to implement a real-time interface handling more than 25'000 transactions per day. The project has been delivered within time and budget.

Scope
The Bank wanted to implement a new realtime e-trading platform. The DC and services in Geneva where too expansive and far from the headquarter.

In order to get cost effective services, space on demand, real-time backup and drp, we've decided to implement 4 data centres with specific tasks, backup and drp strategies.

Challenge
Plan the strategy, distribution, backup and drp. Setup a reliable, resiliant and redondant network with low latency and realtime recovery. Secure the infrastructure ( IPS / IDS ).

Setup the e-trading platform with 2 active - active legs and 1 drp site ( 30 to 40 servers ).

Success
The infrastrucutre was up and running within 2 months.

Risks were distributed with a full real-time backup and recovery.

All infrastructures were secured. A new Production, Development and Test environment were avilable in a cost effective way.
